Well, His Grandfather is the Billionaire Oil Founder J. Paul Getty
Cause of his death is not yet clear, He was found dead in his Hollywood Hills Bathroom. His ex-girlfriend has been detained and is a possible witness / suspect.
Two weeks earlier, Andrew Getty drew a restraining order against her.
LAPD spokeswoman told Reuters the detectives are investigating a murder of a white male who was found not breathing in the bathroom of a Hollywood Hills home.
Police blocked off the streets with yellow tape, camera crews and news reporters swarmed around the scene.
In the 1960's Getty's grandfather, J. Paul Getty, merged a number of oil companies into Getty Oil.
J. Paul Getty liked art, so he collected it. Now the artistic community can experience the Getty Museum amongst other institutions.
Andrew Getty was only 47 years old.
A hearing for the case is scheduled next week.
The Getty family requests that the media and the public respect their privacy during this diffcult time.
